The Panther Ausf A was the best all-round German tank of the war! Although conceived as a medium tank, at 45 tons and with frontal armor over 100mm thick, it could easily be rated higher. With its sloping front armor copied for the Russain T-34 and the high velocity KwK 42 L70 main gun, it was capable of penetrating any Allied tank in service while also being almost impenetrable itself.
